Genius Event 2017: An Interesting Discovery

At first when we got the information about the program which was going to be organized by Spiny Babbler, we were very excited to participate in that program. Our principal chose us as the representatives from our school.

While preparing the art work, we used to gather in one place and discuss about the topic which the organization has given us. The topic was about the social change through which we can develop our country. We took three days in order to complete our painting. We painted about the development of the country and society. 

In the first painting, we drew a map of Nepal displaying unity between the Nepalese people. As we all know that unity is the strength of the people so, with the help of many creative brains, many amazing work can be done. Unity can also help for the betterment of our country. In the second picture, we tried to display the importance of the women education. We all know that female education is very important for the betterment of the family and the society. Educated women can lead both the family and society at the same time. In this modern age, there should not be any discrimination between boys and girls. Education is considered as our third eye without which we can be exhibited as blind that can’t make any differences between right and wrong.

Another important thing for development is technology. There are still some rural areas in Nepal lacking infrastructure. Therefore, government should also focus on those areas by providing some feasible resources such as solar energy, micro hydro powers etc.

After going through the art works of other school, we felt good. The artworks were very fine and interesting. It carries different social messages about violence against women, new and old cities, cultures, equality between men and women etc. As a whole we all had a great experience working with the team.

We would like to thank the Spiny Babbler organization for providing us this great opportunity. This has made us easy to explore our feelings towards our country.

Genius Event 2017: Art work on Violence against Women

  When we were first told about this art exhibition, we got excited. The name of the organization ‘Spiny Babbler’ itself seems to be full of curiosity. We were happy for getting the opportunity to express our creativity at national level. We began our work on Monday and completed it on Tuesday. We put our hard efforts on this. We chose women violence as our theme for the art because women violence is one of the burning and pandemic issues in Nepal. Our art tries to show how women are victimized of violence and how they are facing the situation. Art is a medium through which we can express our feelings freely. Therefore, in order to express the feelings of women about how they are feeling and how they are living, we made this art. The topic which we chose for the art event is yoga and meditation. Yoga and meditation defines the spiritual activities performed for maintaining healthy mind and soul. We can acquire positive vibes with the help of yoga and meditation.   It has also been proved scientifically that yoga and meditation enables us to make our body centered and free from anxiety.
